Christmas Card Artwork Winner
Posted on 11/30/2018

Once again this year, we received an incredible amount of student artwork for our annual Christmas card. It was tremendously difficult to choose just one winner as we received hundreds of submissions from numerous schools and grade levels. We had several exceptional nominations that perfectly demonstrated the importance of faith and the spirit of Christmas, while showcasing the amazing talent of our students.

We are pleased to announce that the 2018 Christmas Card Artwork winner is Elise Holla, a Grade 8 student from Monsignor Clair Catholic School. Her creative depiction of the manger scene in Bethlehem is a beautiful representation of the true meaning and spirit of Christmas. Her artwork will be featured as the cover of this year’s Christmas card and will be sent out and viewed by colleagues and partners in Catholic and public education in Ontario, as well as our Premier and Prime Minister.  The Chair of the Board of Trustees and I are very excited to have such wonderful talent represent our school board.

Please join us in congratulating Elise and all of the other students who submitted their wonderful artwork.  These students not only show exceptional artistic abilities, but a great understanding of the importance of faith in the spirit of the Christmas season.  We thank all participants for sharing their artwork with us. It has been a pleasure to see the incredible talent of our students.

Wishing you a safe and joyous Christmas.
