Harvest Event TentWritten by Bianca Lenssen, Student Journalist

Patrick Fogarty Catholic Secondary School (PF) in Orillia held their annual Harvest on Thursday, October 4th, in the beautiful autumn weather on the school property from 4 - 7 p.m. This is a favourite event for the school and their community.

Former PF student Bridget H. displayed her handmade wood pieces at the Harvest. Fans of Bridget’s work can follow her on Instagram (@AFarmersTouch) and see how she creates her unique rustic pieces.

PF student volunteers also sold Me to We accessories, PF Swag, and fresh foods from local farms. A handful of students including Julian B., Isabel L., and Olivia M., sang and played live music to add to the festive atmosphere of the Harvest. Games such as ‘Milk the Cow’, ‘Catch the Fish’ and ‘Shooting Hoops’ were also a crowd favourite, as visitors young and old participated and received a prize.

This image was taken just before the start of the Harvest, and shows where the food was served. Guests enjoyed pulled pork and chicken on a kaiser bun, along with fresh produce and a butter tart for dessert.
