Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Erin Zawacki, a teacher at
St. Peter’s Catholic High School. Erin was nominated by a parent, who said:
“Erin Zawacki is my daughter's Grade 9 geography teacher. She is an amazing and genuine person and teacher. She makes her students feel so calm and comfortable. She goes above and beyond for her students, even gives up her lunch break to help them study for whatever they need help with. She is an Angel and I can only hope and pray that my daughter will have her again. Ms. Zawacki we truly appreciate you and all you do. Thank you!”
This week we are also celebrating the ICT Team at the Catholic Education Centre. The ICT Team is made up of the following staff: Trent Woods, Tony Quigley, Roger Deschamps, Michael Cousins, Roy Smith, Barb Fox, Claire Lysnes, Clayton Hannah, David Moon, David Drysdale, Debra Miller, Diane Crittenden, Doug McCann, Eric Chudnoff, Jeff Kotch, Jen Miller, Lydia Courtney, Michael Tustin, Nicholas Belisle, Phil Lidow, and Richard Newton (not everyone is in the photo).
They were nominated by a colleague who said, “This team has gone beyond the call of duty. They are always supportive, helpful, kind and patient. IT can be challenging to understand, but they make it comfortable to ask questions and can explain it in "layman" language, but never demean or minimize me when I am asking what could be perceived as silly questions. They provide prompt and timely support which allows me to support the Trustees and Director of Education. They are the absolute best! Thank you so much for your support!!!!”
We would like to thank Erin and the ICT staff for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
