Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Jill Swift, an educational
assistant at Notre Dame Catholic School. Jill was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Mrs. Swift greets everyone each morning with a smile on her face and loves her job immensely. Mrs. Swift cherishes every student in our classroom and includes them whenever possible to try her activities. The students enjoy having Mrs. Swift in our classroom by the smiles on their faces in the morning. Everyday is a new and exciting day with Mrs. Swift. Mrs. Swift takes her job to heart and cares so much for the students she works with. Thank you for all that you do in our classroom. We appreciate you!”
This week we are also celebrating Wendy Tynes, Christine Dube, Kelly Beauparlant and Chris Prentice, administrative staff at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School. Wendy, Christine, Kelly and Chris were nominated by a colleague, who said:
“These outstanding administrators go above and beyond each day for the students and staff at our school. They develop strong relationships with students who feel genuinely cared for and supported because the team takes the time to get to know them. Students are greeted with warmth and respect, not only in the office but in the hallways as well. A band aid? An apple? Something else to get through the day? These amazing people will do their best to help with grace and humour. The team is the first line of communication for students, parents, and educators and they provide vital information and assistance to keep the school running. Thank you to the St. Joseph Jag's administrators for everything they do for us!”
We would like to thank Jill, Wendy, Christine, Kelly and Chris for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
