The Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (CPIC) is offering parents of the Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board (SMCDSB) a free information session: Social Media Awareness, Child Exploitation and Cyber Safety.

Join us on Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Barrie to hear from Ashley LeClair of ALC Wellness and Dr. Patrick Carney and Chantelle Quesnelle of the SMCDSB Psychology Department. Topics will range from Internet exploitation and sharing of personal information to the more serious human trafficking concerns in our society. The presentation will focus on awareness of commonly used social media apps and supporting parents in effectively communicating with their children regarding social media use.

This event is free to all elementary and secondary parents of SMCDSB. Advance registration is appreciated by completing the online registration form.
