Canada's Women's National Soccer Team has been named by head coach, John Herdman. On this team of superstars is St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School's own Deanne Rose. At just 16 years old Deanne is the youngest player on the team, but looks forward to helping the squad reach the 2016 Olympics Rio.

The team must first compete in the 2016 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship before they get their tickets to Rio.
Canada will be looking to secure its spot at this summer’s Olympic Games through a victory in the semi-final knockout round, but the team’s goal for this competition is to take home CONCACAF’s top spot.
