St. Theresa's Production of High School Musical Wins Big

Four Simcoe County high schools took part in the Festival of High School Musicals and Drama Competition put on by the Barrie Music Association, and St. Theresa's Catholic High School in Midland took home the ultimate prize. They were presented with the award for Best Musical for their production of High School Musical.


They also received a number of other awards including:

  • Best Actress in a Leading Role: Hannah Black

  • Best Actor in a Leading Role: Dennis Bozek

  • Best Actress in a Supporting Roles: Mikayla Collins

  • Best Actor in a Supporting Role: Troy Clark

  • Award of Excellence (costume design): Rowan Jones

  • Award of Excellence (stage management): Santana Hamilton

  • Award of Excellence (choreography): Maddie Disera and Christine Frans

  • Award of Excellence (pit band): Hazel Goodman, Jessica Hindson, Brianna Lavereau, Dimitri Pantis, Simone Smith and Lucas Sullivan

  • Technical Award of Excellence (lighting design): Alex Hamelin
