Dear Parent/Guardian,

This letter serves to inform you of changes that have been made to the final assessment of the Grade 9 mathematics course.  Students enrolled in either of the Applied or Academic math courses will NOT write the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics as part of the culmination of these courses, at this time.  In place of this we will be having students write an exam during the exam period, much the same as their other courses. This exam will be weighted as 10% of their final mark for Applied and 15% of their final mark for Academic. As per usual, the exam will take place during the exam period which is from January 23rd to January 29th.

As previous communication has indicated, students will write a Course-Culminating Task (CCT) in the days leading up to the exam period which will be weighted as 20% for Applied and 15% for Academic.

We encourage all students to work to their full potential in all aspects of culminating activities in all of their courses and wish everyone good luck.
