Principal Morrison Finds Himself in a Sticky Situation

Principal Morrison Finds Himself in a Sticky Situation

Last month, students at St. Marguerite d’Youville Catholic School in Barrie danced their hearts out at the annual Valentine's Day dance. Principal Morrison challenged students to raise $2,000 in pledges, and if they did, he would let students tape him to the gymnasium wall!

Of course students were motivated to see their principal in such a “sticky situation!” It’s no surprise they exceeded their goal and brought in an amazing $2653.35 along with a pile of non-perishable food items for the food bank. Special mention goes to Mrs. Martel's JK/SK class who raised $580.00 - almost double the amount raised by any other class!

Mr. Morrison kept his promise and allowed students and staff to tape him to the gymnasium wall while the school watched with laughter.

The money collected has bought 13 chromebooks and 3 tripods for the school and will be a great addition to the educational resources available in the classrooms.

A big thank you goes to the students for their impressive pledges and especially to Mr. Morrison for being such a good sport!
