Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Brittany Salisbury, a DECE
at Sister Catherine Donnelly Catholic School. Brittany was nominated by a colleague who said:
“Brittany is a wonderful, fun, passionate, and hard-working DECE. She is a wonderful teaching partner/co-worker to have alongside you in the classroom. She is thoughtful and inclusive to all around her. She is the best DECE because she teaches from the heart. She is continuously thinking outside the box to help students learn and meet the students where they are at. She always finds fun and energetic activities to teach the kids. Thank you for being a wonderful DECE and friend.”
This week we are also celebrating the staff of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Collingwood. The staff were nominated by a colleague who said:
“The first day/week of every school year is always exciting and challenging! Then ask a school to "move" to another location, set up your classroom (in creative ways), and be ready to meet and greet all your students! The staff of St. Mary's did this with grace and enthusiasm on their first day of school. Parents/students were met with smiles and a positive energy that was infectious to all. You made your students feel safe, and excited about a new school year. Thank you for reminding us that working together and supporting one another creates a special place for all students!”
We would like to thank Brittany and the entire staff at St. Mary's Collingwood for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
