Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Jackie Wootton, an office
assistant at St. Noel Chabanel Catholic School. Jackie was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Jackie is our morning office assistant, and she stepped up immediately to cover when we learned our afternoon assistant was being temporarily relocated. She didn't have to do this, but I'm pretty new to my role and brand new to SNC and she didn't want to leave the office short a person in the afternoons. She never hesitates to help me or any other SNC staff, and she demonstrates that she's more than willing to go the extra mile every day. She's a great team member and has helped me immensely in settling into my role as administrator. I truly don't know what I would do without her!”
This week we are also celebrating Ron Daverveld, maintenance specialist at Facilities Services. Ron was nominated by a colleague, who said:
“Ron is a hard worker and always available if you need advice. He can always be “counted on” if there is a difficult task to be completed. Ron brings a wealth of knowledge to the Facilities team and is a pleasure to work with.”
We would like to thank Jackie and Ron for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
