Every week we celebrate SMCDSB staff members who have been recognized by a parent, student or colleague.
This week we are celebrating Courtney O’Connor and
Deana Spiteri, teachers at Monsignor Lee Catholic School. Courtney and Deana were nominated by a parent, who said:
“My daughter was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic and Miss O'Connor and Miss Spiteri helped settle her back into school life after coming out of her diabetic coma. They went head first in accommodating and making her feel supported and loved. Forever grateful!”
This week we are also celebrating Frank Giannone, a teacher at St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School. Frank was nominated by a parent, who said:
“I would like to nominate Mr. Giannone for all of his hard work with his students this year. As a parent, I have appreciated the constant communication and keeping us up to date on our children’s progress. For his students he has worked diligently to provide them with a quick-paced learning environment, the ability to assess themselves with more testing, and creating organization skills as they head into high school. He has been a great support to his students if they needed extra help, ensuring he makes time for them. Overall this has been a successful year with great leadership.”
We would like to thank Courtney, Deana, and Frank for their commitment to Catholic education at our board.
